SriLankan Airlines Japan Cup ITCC vs Keio University CC match result - 27th July 2013

Match Summary:
Keio University CC won the toss and elected to bowl first. ITCC opened their innings with Abraham and Dharam, lost the wicket of Dharam of the very first ball of the innings but recovered well with some good hits by Manikandan. Manikandan played some delightful shots and Abraham found the rythm and batted beautifully.
As per YCAC stadium rules, batsman who hits the ball out of the stadium is declared OUT. This is how Manikandan fell after playing a wonderful innings scoring 34 runs.
Wickets kept falling on one end. Half the stage, ITCC reached score of around 80/4. In came Sujit. Good partnership built between Sujit and Abraham, playing the ball on its merit and sending loose balls to the fence. Partnership of around 75 runs took ITCC team to a comfortable stage (160/4 of 16 overs). Sujit was run out with individual score of 38. Soon two more wickets fell by run out with Abraham best scorer of the match. In came Jimmy and played some good strokes and ITCC reached a score of 184/8 of 20 overs.
Keio University CC started their innings well scoring 40 runs in 5 overs. White ball was swinging too much and ITCC bowlers had tough time initially to control that huge swing on the flex pitch. But it was just a matter of time and bowlers bounced back to get the breakthroughs one after other. Chetak bowled brilliantly and took a good sharp catch of his own bowling. He claimed 3 wickets giving away only 16 runs in his spell. More than half of the batting team was in pavillion in 9 overs. Good fielding and accurate throws claimed few run outs. In came Kaustubh to bowl his first over and took two wickets in the same over to finish the game. Keio CC team were all out for 75 runs.
ITCC won the match by 109 runs claiming the bonus point as well. Winning spree continues....
Just after the match was winded up, YCAC stadium saw a heavy rain. It was like rain god was just waiting for ITCC to finish the game..
